Delivery - Most orders are dispatched the same day if an order is placed before midday by either Royal Mail first class or Parceline 24 hour delivery service. On other occassions you should receive your goods within 7-10 working days. In the event that an item proves to be very popular due to media coverage or with busy periods like Christmas this can take longer. You will be advised of this when we take payment for this item.
Cancellation - you have the right to cancel a contract within seven days - starting from the day after you take delivery of the goods (a "cooling off" period). You have the right to cancel for any reason without penalty unless the item (s) are made to order according to a client's own specification. Made to order status will be represented on the product page. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
If you wish to cancel a contract, please write to us, or email at info@dutchbydesign.com clearly stating your full details, invoice number and cancellation instructions. Once you have cancelled the contract, you have a legal "duty of care" to take good care of the goods. You must return the goods to us at your expense to the address below - we would advise that you use a recorded-delivery service for small items and an insured courier service for larger items. Please be aware that Royal Mail Recorded Delivery will only offer compensation up to £27 should a package not be delivered and therefore must not be used for returning any items of a higher value. Please mark all parcels clearly with your returns number.
Returns - If an item (excluding those which are individually made to order), proves to be unsuitable you may return it within 7 working days unused, with the original packaging and in re-saleable condition, you must exercise reasonable care when returning the goods. You may select either a replacement or refund for the item. All items require a returns number so please telephone or email us returns@dutchbydesign.com before sending the item. As we cannot be responsible for any returned items lost or damaged in the post, we strongly advise that an insured, tracked delivery method (e.g. Royal Mail Special Delivery) is used to return goods. Please be aware that Royal Mail Recorded Delivery will only offer compensation up to £27 should a package not be delivered and therefore must not be used for returning any items of a higher value. We do not refund the cost of postage and packaging for the original order. This is in addition to your statutory rights. For larger items, a courier service will have to be used to return items.
Breakages - Please inform us of any damages/breakage within two working days of receiving the item (s). Items that have been damaged while in transit to you will be replaced at no extra cost.
Missing Items, Items that never arrive Please inform us within 30 days if an item fails to arrive. We can track items with a tracking number.
Incorrect or incomplete address, failing to respond to courier dispatch notesIn the event that an incorrect, incomplete address has been given by the customer upon which the parcel gets rejected or returned to our premises or in the event that a customer fails to respond to a dispatch note left by the courier company, we may charge these costs to the customer.
Items missing from orderIn the case certain items missing from an order, please keep the original packaging in which your order was sent together with any postal labels and documents.
UK Regulations - All products comply with UK & EU regulations, all products come with an EU Warranty for defects for an one year period. Pls note that the Paper Knifes will not be sold to minors.
